Another year is upon us. Every year at the beginning of the year, we resolve to be healthier, better versions of ourselves. But then the days slip by, and we go back to our same routines, our same unhealthy patterns. But what if 2017 was the year we finally committed to being the healthiest, best versions of ourselves? The women that we all know we can be? Here are a few things you can do to make sure you have the best year ever.
Take care of yourself. This is the most important thing you can do to have the best year ever. Eat nutritious and healthy foods, get a lot of exercise, visit the doctor for regular checkups, do not drink to access, surround yourself with positive people, take bubble baths. There are so many things you can do to take care of yourself.
Do things you enjoy. Do you like going to the movies by yourself? Do you enjoy reading romance novels? Do you love to do yoga or go dancing? Make sure you make time to do the things you really love to do. Fill your life with more joy. That is one of the best ways to ensure that you will be a happier and healthier woman.
Try something new. Take some risks. Try new things. Maybe you want to try to do some hiking that you’ve never done. Maybe you want to start cooking. Maybe you want to try to learn French. It’s important that you learn how to spice up your life and give yourself some variety. Don’t be afraid to venture outside of your comfort zone.
Take little steps to accomplish big things. Do you want to get into better shape? Do you want to write a novel? Do you want to remodel your house? Start with little steps. Go for a run for 15 minutes a day. Write for 20 minutes in the morning. Make a list of all of the little projects you can do around your house and do one project at a time. Breaking a bigger goal into little steps makes our goals more manageable.
Start a daily meditation practice. We can really get clear about what it is we want and need when we give ourselves some quiet time to get centered each and every day. In addition to the spiritual benefits, meditation makes you more relaxed, less stressed, and more mindful in your day-to-day life.
Love yourself. The best way to ensure that you have the best year ever is to love yourself. You will want to do everything else on this list if you cherish and honor yourself.
